Everything you need to know before getting Plasma Fibroblast done

Plasma fibroblast is the latest in skin tightening technology that will totally change the way you think about anti-aging esthetics. Gone are the days where you needed to inject or undergo invasive surgery to get lasting results. With Plasma Fibroblast, you use your body's own healing abilities to tighten sagging skin. But how?? How can you get surgical like results without going under the knife? Read on to find out.

What is Plasma Fibroblast and how does it work?

The Fibroblast plasma pen works by releasing a small electrical charge with plasma gas through a small needle-like probe. The probe at no time is invading the skin. The electrical charge causes a heated coagulation of the skin surface. Think of it as a tiny lightning bolt. The heat is not spread in any other area of the skin except for the area being treated. This stimulates the fibroblast cells to react to the “superficial trauma” to the epidermal layers and immediately starts to tighten.

In the next few weeks of healing, collagen is triggered to multiply and renew the skin. As we age our collagen production tends to breakdown. Imagine the skin filling in the gaps where these 'Plasma Dots' are placed. This process will give you the youthful-looking skin you crave.

Is Plasma Fibroblast suitable for everyone?

We wish! Unfortunately, the answer is no. It is not suitable if you:.

  • have diabetes, healing disorders, or lymphatic draining issues.

  • have a history of hyperpigmentation.

  • have a history of keloid scarring

  • wear a pacemaker

  • pregnant or breastfeeding.

This treatment is recommended on light-medium skin tones. Anyone with a darker complexion is at risk for hyperpigmentation. We have successfully done Plasma on darker skin tones, we recommend a patch test before your treatment.

What areas can be treated?

Plasma Fibroblast can be used anywhere in the body where there is sagging skin. Keyword: SKIN. A lot of our clients think this works on body fat but it doesn't. If your goal is to remove body fat we recommend a combination of diet, exercise and body contouring treatments which help the body smooth and drain fat. Commonly treated areas include:

  • belly area

  • undereye

  • upper eyelid

  • crow's feet

  • nasolabial fold

  • forehead lines

  • neck lift

  • stretch marks

  • jowl

  • & more

What is the aftercare like?

Our aftercare sheet is extensive! While we can't include everything here, the basis of our aftercare is to prevent infection, prevent hyperpigmentation and to give the best possible results.

This includes instructions to stay away from sun exposure, no sweating, no friction to the area and to keep the area clean with unscented soap and room temperature water. No hot water to the area. No picking scabs. The list goes on and we give you all the info before your treatment. Healing time for face is typically between 1-2 weeks. Anything from the neck down can take 1-3 months to fully heal.

Now that we have an extensive repertoire of clients who have loved their plasma fibroblast results, we will be developing a training course so keep an eye out for that!
